4 For The Weeekend

So it's Friday again, time to select my favorite four tracks for the weekend. This weekend I'm going up to Leeds again for a few days and getting ready for Ibiza next week!

Friendly Fires & Azari & III - Stay Here

The track that I've been loving the most this week is the new Friendly Fires single. They've teamed up with Azari & III who are from Toronto Canada. I'd describe their sound as deep minimalist disco and i have been absolutely loving a track by them called 'reckless with your love' for quite a while now. It sounds like something you'd hear in a New York gay club circa 1983. Probs why i love it so much. So you can imagine how excited i was when i seen they'd joined forces with Friendly Fires to produce this track 'Stay Here'




The Chemical Brothers - Horse Power (Popof Remix)

The next track I've decided to feature this week is the Popof remix of the new Chemical Brothers track 'Horse Power' which is the B-side to their forthcoming single 'Another World' (which is also amazing). Popof is a French Techno DJ and producer who has had success on the Scene for a couple of years now. I think this remix takes the already massive Chemical Brothers track to another, deeper more stripped back level while maintaining all the energy of the original.



Gamble & Burke - Let's Go Together (Grum Remix)

Gamble & Burke are the latest release on the hugely influential French label Kitsuné. I don't really know much about them apart from their sound is massively retro and this single is remixed by man of the moment Grum. Who has recently turned out amazing remixes of the new Marina & The Diamonds track and the current Everything Everything single. The video for this isn't bad either!



Kylie Minogue - Get Outta My Way

And last up the new song from Kylie Minogue!!! (*CRINGE*). It's the gayest thing I've heard in a long time, and for that reason it gets my full love and support. I was talking about it to a friend on Twitter the other day who pointed out "Can you imagine how many times that'll be used for a Dance A-level performance" before commenting he was off to listen to some Courtney Love to "re-grunge" Soz Kurt. I've already drunkenly danced to it in a gay club, and I'm sure i will on many occasions to come.

Summer Of AIDS Mix

So this morning i was reading a few blogs, and i came across the new Kris Menace remix of Kylie Minogue. That was when i had a flashback to drunkenly dancing to the original mix on Thursday night.

It got me thinking that even though i do love this song it would never be cool to put a Kylie track in a mix would it??? Then i thought actually fuck it. Leeds Part 2

So i went away to Leeds again this week to hang out with my friend Jake (Left). I went to the Haribo Factory. Watched inception. Felt dizzy after inception. Stayed in a 4 star hotel for a few nights. Stayed at Jake's for a few nights. Went shopping. Brought nothing. Got drunk in a gay bar. Got rowdy in a gay bar. Got sick after a gay bar. Learnt that Halal had spread to pillows. Felt like a lesbian. Wet myself over a tranny. Got obsessed with K-Row (Kelly Rowland) Rediscovered my love for trashy teen based Californian MTV shows. Seen Imran get Arrested. Spooned. Went to Jamie Oliver's restaurant. Had a pretty amazing 5 days.

4 For The Weeekend

Wow friday night comes round again. Was supposed to being to a houseparty tonight but it got canceled and my lame friends never came up with an alternative, so im stopping in. BORE! Anyway it's given me chance to do this weeks 4 for the weekend. My favorite 4 tracks from the last week.

First up an amazing jacking house track that's destroying dancefloors in Ibiza right now. Talking of Ibiza only a few weeks until i jet off for my 6th Year of going to the island. SO EXCITED RIGHT NOW with it being Radio1's ibiza weekend. I remember my first trip to ibiza when i was 16, i went to see Dave Pearce's Dance Anthems show at Cafe Mambo live on the Radio1 weekend. (WOIII OIIII TRANCE AHOY) Anyway back to this track. It samples Snoop's 'Drop It Like It's Hot' which was always going to make it a winner with me.



Ok next up another Magnetic Man track. Ok i know i've talked about them in almost every post but you need to understand they are fyyyya right now. This is the track i wanted to post last friday, but it got removed from youtuve. Thankfully it's back up now. The first 1.50 of this video is a track by Benga called Electro West. I'm in love with that tune as much as i am this Magnetic Man and Ms Dynamite Ttack so by posting this video i get the best of both!!



This is the new single from Bloc Party's Kele. It's his second single since going solo. I never rated his debut at all. It was a bit of a mess to be honest. However this is the follow up and I'm feeling it more. I was skeptical about the fact that he only officially came out as gay when he wanted to promote his solo stuff, which coincidentally is very camp sounding! I'd hate think he was manipulating the gay market to achieve solo success.





And finally and probably most embarrassingly the song i've been listening to the most this week. The new single from Katy Perry. I love it and I'm not afraid to say it!
